Dark Clouds. Deep Mercy…

Our world is broken. Disappointments abound. Life is hard. And yet men are supposed to be strong. Right? Maybe. What does strength look like or sound like? Some of the strongest men in the Bible poured out their hearts with honest grit as they tried to live between the poles of a hard life and trusting in God’s purposes. Over a third of the Psalms reflect this gutsy prayer language of lament. Rather than falling into the ditches of denial (“I’m fine”) or despair (“I’m done”), biblical lament is how strong-hearted, gospel-loving men process pain. Our world desperately needs men who know the grace of godly lament. Join us as we learn about the grit and grace of lament.
